Bioengineers seek to improve the lives of disabled Malawians
A multidisciplinary partnership between Arizona State University (ASU) and the University of Malawi (UM) seeks to improve the lives of disabled Malawians, led by engineering faculty such as Professors Vincent Pizziconi and Jan Snyder.
New Exchange Program with Hong Kong
The Fulton School of Engineering has entered into a unique partnership with the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST). The collaboration between the two schools will support the exchange of students to study abroad between the Universities for a semester to a full year. Students will pay regular tuition to the home institution and will attend classes in the partner institution.
ASU-China 3+2 Program
In the fall semester of 2007, the Fulton School of Engineering at Arizona State University (ASU) launched a 3+2 program with China’s Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). In this collaborative offering, Chinese students attend their first 3 years of their engineering undergraduate program at HUST and then travel to ASU to complete their fourth year. Upon completion of their studies at ASU, the student earns a Bachelor’s degree from their home institution in their given area of study.
Bioengineers’ Summer School in Istanbul, Turkey
The 7th International Biocomplexity Summer School was held at Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey on July 1-7, 2008.The event was sponsored by the NSF, the Arizona State University’s (ASU) Barrett Honors College and Harrington Department of Bioengineering (HDBE) and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society. Twenty five students and six faculty members attended the 7th summer school.
