Researchers in the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering engage in use-inspired, real-world pursuits, solving problems that are of interest to individuals and society. Many of these problems require collaboration among individuals from different disciplines that transcend traditional departmental boundaries found in engineering. Implicit in multi-disciplinary, multi-departmental research is the creation of new knowledge and a dynamic approach to problem-solving.
The seven Signature Research themes below articulate some of the major research thrusts that result from this type of collaborative venture. They also serve to illustrate the diverse set of skills and expertise that Engineering School researchers bring to the task of addressing many of today's most complex technological challenges.
