Global Futures Initiative

Creating opportunities for global engagement and leadership

Global Futures Initiative Students

ASU President Michael Crow has included global engagement as a key design imperative for his vision of the ‘New American University.’  President Crow says that “Global engagement is critical to the advancement of our university, the Greater Phoenix area and Arizona. It is imperative that we develop thoughtful strategies for enhancing understanding, allocating vital resources, expanding our global emphasis and augmenting our role in the international dialogue.”

ASU research, teaching, and service all have global implications. The profession of engineering, and most of all, the corporate world that employs most Fulton graduates, are all becoming more global. Recognizing all of this, the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering created the Global Futures Initiative to bring focus to both new and existing international activities for Fulton students and faculty. The primary goal of Global Futures is to increase the number of Fulton students involved in and exposed to relevant international learning, service, work, and leadership development activities.  Whether you are a student, faculty member, alumni, corporate sponsor, or community friend, please contact us to find out how you can get involved!
