Business Administration

Under the management of the Director of Fiscal and Business Services, Lynn Carpenter, the mission of the office is to provide the highest quality service in financial, human resource and other operating services in support of the Dean's Office and acting as the Dean's liaison with the school's operating units and between the university administration offices and the Fulton School of Engineering.

The office has financial oversight of all of the school's financial operations, manages the school's strategic financial planning and budgeting processes, the human resource operations, and the general accounting operations, as well as providing the business office services for the Dean's Office.

Our goals for 2006 are:

• Strategic Vision: Develop a common understanding of school's strategic vision and goals as they relate to setting priorities and for making administrative financial investment and allocation planning decisions.
• Customer Satisfaction : Develop a culture of continuous improvement for providing excellent and timely access, information and service.
• Financial Integrity & Fiduciary Responsibility : Provide honest, ethical and confidential financial oversight to reduce the exposure to litigation risk for the school and university.
• Effective and Efficient Service: Seek cost effective processes, products and services. Be responsive to the expectations and needs of those we serve.
• Policies, Procedures, and Processes: Provide clarity for policies, intelligently simplify procedures, and automate repetitive tasks.
