The
Center for Solid State Electronics
Research (CSSER) was established in
1981 as part of the Engineering Excellence
Program at Arizona State University,
in response to the growth of high technology
industry in Arizona. The program was
designed to benefit the State of Arizona
as follows:
- Contributing to the university's
continued economic growth
- Stimulating joint research with
industry
- Providing a source of highly
qualified engineering talent
- Attracting quality students and
researchers
- Attracting federal research funding
Research
groups at CSSER include:
In addition to our seven primary
interdiscipinary microelectronics
research areas, we have significant
efforts in MEMS, Molecular Electronics,
Wide Bandgap Materials, Environmentally
Benign Processing, Manufacturing
and Controls and Biotechnology.
